August 5 thru 8 and a couple days each side of that we are scheduled for and eager to have everyone at THE RED LION AT THE QUAY in Vancouver, Washington (America's Vancouver) Our hospitality Room 125 looks over the Columbia River and is adjacent to a large outdoor patio area also over the river. A pool and patio area are located at the north end of the hotel and are part of plans for a possible outdoor BBQ, with movie night..... Business meeting will, of course, result in our next reunion's destination so come with an idea of where we all meet next.

-No formal dinner planned ... yet. Oh yes, staging for a trial is available...gangplank near!

-5K run/crawl to the Hazel dell Brew pub 9:30 Sun - Dana's buying!
-Vancouver is very walking friendly and bikes too. Bring comfortable shoes!

-RV sites available ($40 a night but we'll talk, ok?)

You should book as soon as you can to get the best selection of room type: example, 2 beds, river view, ADA....for the best selection, book early.  Rooms are based on availability and require a credit card to guarantee.  Our Hotel cancellation policy is 4pm, 24hours prior to arrival.  

The last day to get the Special Price $79 (Single Queen Bed) $89 (Double Queen Beds) will be July 18, 2010. Dates blocked out for the
Reunion Rates are from 8/5-8/9. (For those that want to get in early to Rest or
Meet and Greet.) Actual Reunion Dates are 8/6-8/9.

Howdy Ghost Riders:

Just a quickie to let you know of any 'plans' for the reunion this far in the
process:

Don't forget the free shuttle from the Portland, Or airport (PDX) to the hotel.
Thrifty Car Rentals are our best bet for rental cars....we have an insider
there.
Our weather is in the 80's with little humidity so evenings may require a long
sleeve shirt but not likely.
Possible "Duck Boat" rides right from the hotel on the Columbia.
We will have one van for day tripping from Friday morning thru Sunday.
We have not gotten scheduled events with payments so we are depending on the
auction of items on Saturday night and pluggin' the donation jar in the
Hospitality Room to meet expenses for drinks, pizza and rental of the van and
hall for dinner.

AGENDA for Ghost Rider Reunion, Vancouver, WA. 5,6,7 and 8 August 2010:

Weds: early arrivals; on your own for day trips and such. We will provide
guide service without accompanyment today.

Thursday: On your own for dining and day trips. Hospitality Room opens at 9am.
Day trips encouraged today.

Friday: Hospitality Room opens 9am. Day trips with the rented van (2) one in am
up the Columba River Gorge; pm day trip unplanned at this point, depending on
wishes of attendees collaboration. Dinner on your own. Pizza at the Hospitality
Room.

Saturday: More loose time for visiting and day trips until 4:30 departure time
to 'Banquet" at the 40 et 8 Chateau (vans and private vehicles to transport
attendees in multiple runs from the Quay to the 40 et 8. Returning to Quay
around 9-10 pm dependent upon length of remarks, tributes, trials and the
auction of Ghost Rider items.
4:30 to 10pm- bar open at 40 et 8...Hospitality Room closed at Quay.
6:30- 7:30 Dinner; $15 per plate for BBQ ribs plate. Some remarks and
presentations during dinner using PA system (No ARC next door making noise this
time!)
7:30 - 10:00 presentations and auction of Ceiling panels with signatures and
other Ghost Rider items to pay for Hospitality Room and rental of hall and van.

Sunday: 9:00 am ...Memorial Service by the pool to honor those Ghost Riders who
have passed and those who couldn't be with us. Led by Gary Rossome; Preacher
Harrel and potentially, Gunther Fritsch.
Immediatly following Memorial Service will be a 'Business Meeting' to
determine next Ghost Rider Reunion location and conduct any business necessary
to the happiness and wellbeing of the group.
Saying those goodbyes and parting company in the afternoon is remaining
schedule for Sunday.

Of interest: Fort Vancouver is a destination visit and is walking distance from
the Quay. A number of very good restaurants are within walking distance from
the Quay, along the Columbia River. Food is very good at the Quay but there are
other breakfast and lunch options nearby too that are less costly. The weather
averages 85 degrees this time of year. We are a BIG area so rental cars for day
tripping are encouraged. Details of sightseeing locations will be available in
the Hospitality Room or through Mike and Dana.
